Female figures with chalk pastels

This project features a series of women rendered in chalk pastels and gouache, exploring the realities of female inequality and struggle. My intention was to capture the strength and vulnerability of women in a predominately patriarchal society. The softness of the pastels, contrasted with the weight of this subject matter, creates a compelling visual tension; symbolizing resilience amidst constraint, a struggle that continues to hold a powerful presence in our society today.
